It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Robert Welden of Beaufort, South Carolina, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bruce may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert B. Welden and Jeanne B. Welden; and his brother-in-law David B. Simmons. He is survived by: his sisters, BJ Welden Simpson (William Lee) and Karen Welden Simmons; his nieces and nephews, Heather Jean Simpson, Alexandra Welden Crim, William Lee Simpson III and Eugene Braxton Crim, Jr. (Alyssa Meghan Crim); and his great-nephew Connor Braxton Crim.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Bruce's honor.
