Ed Brown Obituary
We announce the death of Ed Brown (Beaufort, South Carolina), who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 77. Ed will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Cleburne Brown (C. C.) and Alice Ferguson Brown; and his brother Charles Robert Brown. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gale Brown; his son Christopher Brown (Christin) of Frederick, MD; his grandchildren, Cole Foflygen and Lilly Brown; his son Benjamin Brown (Elizabeth DeGele) of Annapolis, MD; his granddaughter Hannah Brown; his daughter Alexandra; and his brothers, Richard Brown (Susie Bid) and Cleve Brown (Anne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
The UN later wrote "LTC Brown made an enormous contribution to international biological arms control.".
