She was predeceased by: her parents, Prince Woodrow Coleman Carter and Macie Louise Broome Carter. She is survived by: her husband Emory Magbee; her son Jarret (Melissa); her grandchildren, Turner (Arianna), Gigi (Gabe), Oakley (Joshua), Talmadge, Hammond, Beckham and Macie Ruth; her son David (Cindy); and her grandchildren, Cole (Mercedes), Amber (Joey) and Shana.
