It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Matie (Beaufort, South Carolina), born in Warren, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 7, 2019, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Leroy and Nellie Vera Johnson Matie; his wife Bonnie Kay Mott Matie; and his sons, Robert Blizzard and Wesley Matie.

He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Price (Perry) of Blackshear, GA, Lori Blizzard of Chloe, WV, Stacey DeBaun of Roxboro, NC and Kristi Matie of Manning, SC; and his siblings, Paul Matie (Diane) of Beaufort, SC, Don Matie (Carol) of Aiken, SC, Roger Lee Matie (Rebecca) of Oceanside, CA and Patricia Brown (Tony) of Soltona, AK..
