With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Bunton of Beaufort, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Leon Bunton and Lou Ellen Tillman Bunton; and his siblings, Donnie DeLoach, Johnny and Mickey Bunton.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Peeples Bunton; his children, Becky Woods (David) of Mt. Pleasant and Bobby Bunton of Beaufort; his sister Libby Kuhn (Bill) of Beaufort; his brother-in-law Harold "Red" Peeples (Jane) of Rock Hill; and his grandchildren, Haley Woods of Moncks Corner, Holden and Harrison Woods of McClellanville.
