He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Burke, Sr. and Helen Reilly Burke; and his sisters, Regina Jervey and Isabelle Vogl. He is survived by: his wife Joan Carolyn Volz Burke of Beaufort, SC; and his children, Patsy Cooler (Gary), Jack (Cindi), Jimmy (Tracey) and Denise Smith (Billy).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
