He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Hayden and Margaret Cecelia Dempsey (Gallagher). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Litchfield of Beaufort; his children, Erina Dempsey (Elliott Gonzalez) of Peekskill, NY and Gallagher Dempsey (Nicole); his grandchildren, Nolan Gonzalez, Anabel, Jak and Ben Dempsey of Bainbridge, GA; and his former wife Eva Crlenjak Daigle of Tallahassee, FL..
