We announce the death of Richard Harriott (Beaufort, South Carolina), who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heape Harriott and Joan Breland Harriott; and his brother David Harriott. He is survived by: his wife Darcie Siders Harriott of Yemassee, SC; his children, Joshua Clay Harriott, Jessi Ann Harriott Gradick (John Gradick, IV) and Bridget Cherry (Daniel); his siblings, Rodney Harriott (Teresa), JoAnne Harriott Peifer (Glenn) and Judy Harriott Blankenship (Wayne); his grandchildren, Kendall Marie, Hannah Jae, Gabriel Gradick, John Gradick V. (Camryn), Haley Marie, Clay Allen and John Michael; his great grandchild John Gradick, VI; and his sibling Ford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
