She is survived by: her husband Randy Cawood of Beaufort; her children, Alison Cawood (Joseph Pettigrew) of Annapolis, MD, Paul Cawood (Katherine) of Charleston, SC and Sarah Southerland (Carson) of Bluffton, SC; her grandchildren, Frances, Austin, Madison and Lydia; and her sisters, Margaret Smith, Kate Fuller and Jean Zelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the CJD Foundation of Akron, Ohio or the Friends of Caroline of Ridgeland, SC in Susan's honor.
