He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius George Kern, Jr. and Jaclyn Tappen Kern of Locust Valley, NY. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Kahler Kern; and his sons, Kyle Williamson of Charleston and Benjamin Tappen (Kim).
