With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Pickel of Beaufort, South Carolina, born in Six Mile, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Jeanie; his children, Julie Hampton and Walter Pickel Jr. (Keysha); his grandchildren, Brittney Russom (Joey), James Duke (Ryan), Ricky Hampton, Bailey, Elliott and Griffin Pickel; and his sister Elizabeth Guerry.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Carteret Street United Methodist Church and/or Friends of Caroline Hospice, whose kindness and care meant so much.
