With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mayo Jones Shedd (Beech Island, South Carolina), who passed away on February 7, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Payton Jones and Earnest Tillman Jones; her husband Tommie Eugene Shedd; and her siblings, Alton V. Jones, R. Juanita Jones, Conrad F. Jones, Pat Jones, Allen B. Jones, Ben T. Jones and Larry D. Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Kay Shedd Strand (David) and Kenneth Eugene Shedd (Lisa). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakeside Baptist Church to support the new playground fund.
