He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Phillips and Jo Ann Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Tim Hobby Sr. and Sharon Phillips. He is survived by: his stepson Dale J. Carpenter Jr. of Daytona Beach, FL; and his siblings, Randy Phillips of Honea Path, Clarence H. Phillips Jr. (Petey) of Honea Path, Tony Phillips (Becky) of Waterloo, Jim R. Phillips (Wendy) of Lexington, Vickie Phillips Hobby of Belton, Melanie Phillips Luker (Kenneth) of Piedmont and Molly Phillips Fisher (Robbie) of Honea Path.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Anderson County PAWs.
