He was predeceased by : his wife Pearl Irene Earle Clinkscales; his son Charles Clinkscales; his brother John Allen Gray; and his grandparents, Phyllis, John C. Clinkscales, Queen Ester and Ben Martin.
He is survived by : his son Johnny Jr. Clinkscales of Belton; and his siblings, Ruby Burriss of Anderson, S. C., Ann Mattison (Marshall) of Anderson, S. C., Mae Frances Clement of Anderson, S. C., Ester Beaufort of Philadelphia and Eugene Gray (Bessie) of Belton, S. C.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
