He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bowen and Thelma Heaton Bowen; his grandson Cole Bowen; his siblings, Robert Bowen, Tommy Bowen and Harriet Wright; and his son-in-law Chad McClain.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Cromer Bowen; and his children, Sherry Bowen of Pelzer, Edie Ford (Melvin) of Pelzer, Eddie Bowen (Becky) of Acworth, Greg Bowen of Belton, Doug Bowen (Nikki) of Williamston and Tonya McClain of Piedmont.
