He was predeceased by: his parents, John Percy and Willie Mae Adger; his wife Louise Smith Traynum; and his daughters, Sharon J. Williams and Mae Frances Traynum.
He is survived by: his children, Trina Pressley of Anderson, S. C., Carolyn Traynum of Pendelton, S. C., Michelle DuBose (Frankie) of Honea Path, S. C., Terry Cowan of Anderson, S. C., John Traynum Jr. of Pendelton, S. C., Calvin Smith of Easley, S. C. and Daniel DuBose of Belton, S. C.. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
