We bid farewell to Kay Mattison of Belton, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Kay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kay leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kay may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cary Lee and Margaret Othella Woods Cothran; and her son Cary Wyatt Mattison. She is survived by: her husband Fred W. Mattison, Jr.; her daughter Libba Kay Mattison (Diana); and her grandchildren, Manning Parker and Lennon Gray.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669).
