She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert and May Chester Sellers Ballard; her son William Douglas Young; and her sister Marie Bawkum. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Kathy Wilson (Bubba) and Marcia Fowler (Ronnie); her niece Wanda Ballard (Danny); and her nephew Alex Smith (Cathy). She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Chiquola Baptist Church.
