She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Clyde and Mary Frances King Cartee; her former husband Alvin Diggs; and her husband Jerome Gahr. She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Fowler of Williamston and Cindy Barnes of Belton; her grandchildren, Shane Lee (Jessica), Chris Barnes, Misty Langston (Jeremy) and Kevin Barnes; and her brother Eddie Ray Cartee (Sue) of Anderson. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Rainey Hospice House (1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621).
