He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard "Bill" and Elizabeth Aileen Eaton Ellison. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Hood (Tommy) of Piedmont and Tracy Blackwell (Steve) of Williamston; his siblings, Richard Ellison (Peggy) of Belton and Sylvia Williams (Larry) of Belton; his grandchildren, Drew Hood (Rachel), Anna Anderson (Michael), Sydney Bracken (Zach), Cassidy Addison (Matthew) and Kennedy Lollis; and his great grandchild Brynnlee Bracken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
