He was predeceased by: his parents, Robbie D. Murphy and Frankie Dickerson Murphy; and his brother Monty Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Susan Elaine Elrod Murphy of Belton; his daughters, Jennifer Peluso (Nick) and Robyn Linville (Kris); his grandchildren, Jordan Peluso (Brendan), Brian Peluso (Hailey), Logan Holcombe, Mason Holcombe and John Richard; and his great grandchild Emmett Webb.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (13024 SC-20, Belton, SC 29627).
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospital in Greenville.
