He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde King and Margaret King; his son Kevin King; and his siblings, Larry King, Jimmy King and Norma Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ford King; his children, Stacie Griffin (Terry), Lori Locke (Michael) and Erik C. King; his grandchildren, Sid Locke (Maddie), Lillie Locke, Max Locke, Meg Griffin and Emily King; his great grandchild Adalyn Locke; and his siblings, Bennie King, Sylia King and Jani Jordan (Tommy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Cox Funeral Home (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the Second Baptist Church of Belton (5901 Belton Hwy, Belton, SC 29627).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Belton or Traditions Health Hospice Care of Greenville.
