She was predeceased by: her father Peter Turner Smith; and her husband Frank Newkirk. She is survived by: her mother Elsie Bowman Smith; her daughters, Debra Brunson (Roger Brunson) and Beth Abruzzino; her grandchildren, Ambra Hodge (Dustin), Tyler Christman (Autumn), Seth Abruzzino, Noah Abruzzino and Jonah Abruzzino (Alyssa); and her great grandchildren, Karsten Hodge, Maddux Christman, Brody Christman, Mason Abruzzino and Enzo Abruzzino.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Ann's memory to the SPCA Humane Organization of Sumter County, Sumter, SC, to continue her passionate work for animal welfare.
