He was predeceased by: his parents, Evans "June" Locklear and Cora Clay Locklear; and his siblings, Rev. Michael Locklear, Patsy Byrd, JoAnn Goins, Joyce Carol Locklear and Glenda June Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Kirby Locklear; his children, David Locklear (Betsy), Tracy Locklear Stubbs (Donald) of Laurel Hill, NC, Mona Mumford (Rusty) of Bennettsville, Bari Locklear of Bennettsville and Twyla Harrelson of Surfside Beach, SC; his brother Jack Locklear (Betty) of High Point, NC; his sister-in-law Dora Locklear of Bennettsville; and his grandchildren, David Aaron Locklear, Ciara Payne, Shyla Taylor, Meagan Harrelson, Donald Stubbs, Jr., Haleigh Stubbs, Brendon Evans Stubbs, Amber Mumford, Anna Mumford and Luis Evans Jimenez. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
