She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Nicholson and Frances Pearson Nicholson; her husband James Milton Townsend; and her brother John "Sonny" A. Nicholson, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Jim Townsend (Laura), Mary Townsend and Ann Townsend Bowman (Mark); and her granddaughter Anna Michelle Townsend Burner (Nathaniel).
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (688 Beauty Spot Rd E, Bennettsville, SC 29512). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Bennettsville First Presbyterian Church (130 Broad St, Bennettsville, SC 29512). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
