He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cecil and Pauline Parsons Collins; his son Robert Alan Collins; and his brothers, Joe Collins and Stephen Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Linda LaMotte Collins; his sons, Kevin Glenn Collins (Kristen) of Dillon, Bryan Chad Collins of Bennettsville and Austin Alan Collins of Cheraw; and his sisters, Virginia Coxe of Sparta, NC and Kay Disher of Kernersville, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ Church of Bennettsville (819 N Marlboro St, Bennettsville, SC 29512). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elk Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (1966 NC-93, Sparta, NC 28675).
