He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Franklin and Hattie Mae Carver Erwin; his daughter Kimberly Erwin Webster; his siblings, Margaret Gainey, Betty Mumford, Marie Price and Billy Erwin; his nephew Hubie Erwin; and his great-niece Gracie Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Peacock; his daughter Rebecca Erwin Black (Mark) of Pageland; his grandchildren, Gregory Franklin Black (Brianne) of Irmo and Meghan Black Estes (Tyler) of Jefferson; his son-in-law Ryan Webster of Selma, NC; and his siblings, Sarah Erwin of Bennettsville, Mary Norris (Billy Ray) of Laurel Hill, NC, Faye Melton of Darlington, Linda Smith of Holden Beach, NC, Hubert Erwin (Ethel) of Walterboro and Herbert Erwin (Mary Ann) of St Louis, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Roy's honor to the Salem Baptist Church Steeple Fund, 1618 Salem Rd Bennettsville, SC 29512.
