It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Tryphena Odom (Bennettsville, South Carolina), who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Brooks Odom, Sr.; her parents, Praylow Goodwin "P. G." and Hattie Viriginia Pressley Williams; her son Arthur Brooks Odom, Jr.; her siblings, Wallace, Toney, Lemont, Dizzy Dean Williams, Frances Spencer and Dothula Bowles; and her close friend Charles O'Neal.

She is survived by: her daughter Virigina "Jenny" Odom Gantt (Steve); her granddaughter Brooke Odom Moody (Gage); her great grandchildren, Sophi, River and Lake; her daughter-in-law Derendia "Bubba" Freeman; and her sister-in-law Abbie Williams. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
