It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Udene Stokes (Bennettsville, South Carolina), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dalton Hunter and Emme Brown Davis; and her husband Charlie William Stokes (Jack). She is survived by: her son Jackie Stokes (Mary Alice) of Myrtle Beach; her grandchildren, Clay Waggoner (Jessica), Bill Waggoner and Hunter Stokes (Alexandra); her great grandchildren, Cole Waggoner, Hannah Grace Waggoner, Sarah Waggoner, Mason Culp, Charlotte Waggoner, Jackson Anderson and Tallon Stokes; her daughter Judy Stokes Frick (Douglas) of Waxhaw, NC; her granddaughters, Caroline Frick (Yong Kim) and Elizabeth Ross; and her great grandchild Samantha Fenway Ross (Sammie).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (130 Broad St, Bennettsville, SC 29512). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
