He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gilbert Mays, Sr. and Shirley Iris Dickey Mays. He is survived by: his children, Michael Huggins of Lugoff, SC, Justin Mays (Heather) of Hartsville, SC, Johnathan Mays (Christine) of Timmonsville, SC. and Elizabeth Mays of Cassatt, SC; his siblings, Clint Mays of Bethune, SC and Panda Douglas (Franklin) of Bethune, SC; his grandchildren, Eva Mays, Jordan Mays, Ian Mays, Brayden Hicks and Cheyanne Hicks; and his son-in-law Andrew Stephens of Indianapolis, IN.
