She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gainey and Josephine Horton Gainey; and her siblings, Gary Gainey, Patsy Gainey and Peggy McNeil.

She is survived by: her sisters, Gwen Gainey of Bethune, S. C. and Gayle Kiser of Matthews, N. C.; and her sister-in-law Mary Gainey of Bethune, S. C..
