Margaret Horton Gainey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Horton Gainey of Bethune, South Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Boyd Horton and Ethel Baker Horton; her husband James Levy "Bud" Gainey; and her siblings, William Alva Horton, Dr. Carroll Horton, Dorothy H. Benton and Dr. Ira B. Horton.
She is survived by: her children, James Gainey (Sue), Dale Gainey (Pam) and Denise Rollings (Robbie); and her grandchildren, Daniel Gainey (Kayla), Lindsey Gainey (Tom), Hope Tyner (Patrick), Casey Gainey, Travis Gainey (Laine), Anna Rollings (Chris) and Colt Gainey. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and a wide circle of extended family and lifelong friends.
