He was predeceased by : his parents, James Jr. Cabbagestalk and Minnie Lee Cabbagestalk; his parents-in-law, Margaret and James Cooper; and his brother-in-law David McElveen.

He is survived by : his wife Regina Cooper; his children, Tramaina Dennis (Kendrick), Torrance Julian and Derrick; his grandchildren, Kanisha, Kadejia, Shymiek, Kamira and Mikah Dennis; his siblings, Janice Cabbagestalk, Carrie Cabbagestalk, Deborah Cabbagestalk, Althea Belton (Alvin), Anthony Cabbagestalk (Crystal), Corey Cabbagestalk and Thomas Cabbagestalk; and his brother-in-law Donald Cooper.
