She was predeceased by: her husband David Everett Brown Sr.; her parents, Robert John Heaton Sr. and Vivian Elizabeth Poulson Heaton; her siblings, Donald, Robert III, Edmund and Judith Tuccillo; and her children, David Jr., Harry and Vivian Bissett.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Brown of Newport, PA and Judy Brose of Browns Mills, NJ; her daughter-in-law Portia Brown of Morristown, TN; and her grandchildren, David Brown III, Connie Grooms (William), Jason Brown (Christina), Lydia Roberts (Clint), Katherine Schwalbach (David), Richard Brose, Sarah Reason (Troy), Joshua Ryan, Edmund Brose, Timothy Brose, Emily Davis and Devin Brown. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ashwood Church of the Nazarene. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Ashwood Church of the Nazarene 2145 Green Lane, Bishopville SC 29010.
