Thomas, Jr. (Vickie) of Spartanburg, Allison T. Herndon of Blacksburg and John R. Thomas of Blacksburg; and his grandchildren, Jessica Connolly (Shawn) of Tamassee, SC, Jennifer Reed (Brian) of Gaffney, Ashley H. Greer of Gaffney, Wesley Herndon (Megan), Stacy Reed of Gaffney and James R. Thomas III (Katie) of Landrum. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
