We announce the death of Dennis Rayfield of Blacksburg, South Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Floyd and Maggie Levada Black Rayfield; his children, Shannon Denise Cox and Coby Rayfield; and his sister Patrisha Hainstock.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Diane" Burrell Rayfield; his children, Leslie Rayfield, Scott Rayfield (Pam) and Daphne Albritton; his brothers, Rev. Gary Rayfield (Judy) and Keith Rayfield; his grandchildren, Vanessa Turek (Matt), Julia Timmons (Eddie), Elizabeth Cox, Rachel Cox, Jimmy Cox, Evan Rayfield, Afton Rayfield, Nate Rayfield, Eric Rayfield, Valerie Little (Gregory) and Amber Case; and his pets, Ella, Loki and Barney.
