He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin and Wilma Mullinax Lovelace; and his children, Sheila Pennington and Ricky Hardin. He is survived by: his children, Randy Hardin and Donna Scoggins (Dennis); his brothers, Steve Lovelace (Delane), Lemuel Lovelace (Juanita) and Larry Lovelace (Susie); and his grandchildren, Billy Pennington, Scottie Pennington, Angie Sherbert, Callie Brown and Derek Scoggins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Baptist Church (241 Oak Grove Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 PM at the same location.
