He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eli Brown and Mary Novella Harris Brown; his daughter Christy Michelle Brown; and his siblings, Ed Brown and JoAnn Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Wilson (Tommy); his siblings, J. D. Brown, Louise Byars, Linda Wilson and Helen Martin; his grandchildren, Cade Wilson and Alec Richardson; and his close friend Vicky Moss Richardson.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gordon Mortuary (400 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
