He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Melton and Bertha Gentry Dover. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Roberts, Michelle Durbin (Christopher Alex Durbin) and Daniel Melton; and his grandchildren, Emmersyn Roberts, Oaklynn Durbin and Easton Roberts.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rose Hill Baptist Church (505 Bonner Lake Rd, Gaffney, SC 29340).
