He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Taylor and Maggie Bell Morrison Taylor; his wife Charlotte Doster Taylor; his great grandchild Addalyn Grace Collins; and his siblings, Bud, Steve, Jack Taylor and Mattie Mae Wright.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Catledge (Chris) of Lancaster, SC and Katherine Price (Tim) of Great Falls, SC; his grandchildren, David Lee Taylor, Jr. of Blackstock, SC, Michael Swilling (Amy), Tracy Swilling (Elaina), Andrew Price (Brooke), Jeremy Price (Ragan), Madison Taylor (Oscar) and Katlyn Taylor (Justin); his sister Patsy Satterfield of Great Falls, SC; and his nephews, Donald Hinson and Matthew Taylor. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
