Mrs. Alma Jean Ray Mack, daughter of the late Mr. James Walker and Mrs. Eula Lee Ray, was born January 17, 1938, in Barnwell County, South Carolina. She received the Heavenly summon to eternal rest on Monday, September 20, 1999 at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, South Carolina.

As a youth, she was baptized and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, South Carolina, where she served faithfully as a member of the Usher Board.

She was a member of the Foster Parent Program. For many years, Mrs. Alma Jean Ray Mack dedicated her life to love, care, nurture, and rear other children. Her devotion to the family could best be described in Proverbs 31st Chapter. A virtuous woman she was indeed.

Mrs. Mack was employed by Sky Line Manufacturing Company as a seamstress for many years.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Herman Mack.

(Mrs. Lydia) Williams of Aiken, South Carolina, Mr. James Williams Frazier of Barnwell, South Carolina and Mr. James E. (Mrs. Delores) Mack of Williston, South Carolina; (9) daughters: Mrs. Brinda W. (Mr. Michael) Robinson, Ms. Mary Donaldson and Mrs. Betty (Mr. Arthur) Parker all of Blackville, South Carolina, Mrs. Shirley (Mr. Bobby) Jones and Mrs. Vivian (Mr. Melvin) Staley both of Barnwell, South Carolina, Mrs. Elaine M. (Mr. Reginald) Smith of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Ms. Donyle Odom of Aiken, South Carolina, Ms. Tiffany Fredricks of Barnwell, South Carolina and Mrs. Ethel Mae (Mr. Charlie) Wright of Brooklyn, New York; (3) sisters: Mrs. Christa Bell Ray, Mrs. Ella Bell Daniels and Mrs. Vernell Moye; (3) brothers: Mr. Jimmy Isaac, Mr. Frank Isaac and Mr. Harold Isaac; (2) step-sisters: Mrs. Lillie Bell G. Bradley and Mrs. Dorothy G. Heyward; (2) step-brothers: Mr. James Gloster and Mr. Willie Gloster both of Blackville, South Carolina; An adopted sister: Mrs. Ethel Faust; An adopted brother: Mr. Floyd Faust; (2) adopted daughters: Ms. Lisa Morgan Harris and Ms. Melba Anderson; (2) adopted sons: Mr. Harry Nix and Mr. Rodney Mays; (3) aunts: Ms. Lucille Thornton, Mrs. Jessie Thomas and Mrs. Ella Isaac; (1) uncle: Mr. William Thornton; (6) brothers-in-law; (8) sisters-in-law; (33) grandchildren; (10) great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
