Harry Calhoun, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Harry Calhoun, Jr., affectionately known as "Bubba", was born on April 11, 1938. He was the son of the late Mr. Harry James Walker Calhoun, Sr. and Ms. Willean Harrison.

Harry had numerous jobs, but his main job was farming.

Harry departed this life and was called home on January 17, 2019 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

On April 4, 1958, Harry was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life for 61 years, Mae Francis Toole. To this union, they were blessed with eleven children.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents: Harry James Walker Calhoun and Willean Harrison Calhoun; his daughter: Shirley Ann Calhoun; four sisters: Virginia Calhoun, Vermell Calhoun, Gloria Calhoun and Junell Gordon; three brothers: Ernest Walker, Leon Calhoun and Robert L. Calhoun, Sr.; and three grandchildren: Stacey Farris, Pamela C. Thompson and Stephanie Wallace.

Harry is survived by: his lovely and devoted wife: Mae Francis Calhoun of Blackville, South Carolina; six sons: Bobby Washington of Washington, DC, Floyd Calhoun (Tonya), Harry Calhoun, III. (Andrea) both of Blackville, South Carolina, Joddie Lee Calhoun of Florida, Otis Lee Calhoun of New Jersey and Anthony Johnson of Denmark, South Carolina; four daughters: Catherine Calhoun of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Mary Louise Calhoun and Edith Mae Calhoun both of Aiken, South Carolina and Stephanie Ansely of Williston, South Carolina; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Pernell Calhoun (Nora) of New Jersey and Johnny Calhoun (Gretchen) of Florida; two sisters: Georgia Louise Rivers (James) and Hattie Lee Ray (Bobby) both of Blackville, South Carolina; a son-in-law: Walter Huggins; two sisters-in-in-law: Willie Dell Toole and Antionette Calhoun; a brother-in-law: Harry Toole (Rita) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and his dog, Smokey.
