He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Tillman Lott and Inez Martin Lott; his great grandchild Lila Lott; and his siblings, Mildred Tuttle, Claude Lott, Harold Lott and Hammond Lott.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Thacker Lott; his children, Maurica Still (Herman), Wanda Lott and Joseph M. Lott, Jr. (Caroline); his grandchildren, Cassie Still (Ryan Mooney), Joseph (Brittany), Brittany Bolen (Josh), Kyle Shore and Kelcee Lott; and his great grandchildren, Liam Bolen, Ellison Lott, Tillman Bolen and Cash Lott. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
