Ricky Williams, Sr. Obituary
Mr. Ricky Williams, Sr., was born on April 25, 1964 to the late Mrs. Alma Jean Ray (Herman) Mack and Mr. JD James in Barnwell County, South Carolina.
At an early age, he united with the membership at Macedonia Baptist Church of Blackville, South Carolina. He was educated in the Blackville-Hilda Public School System and graduated in 1983.
He served his country faithfully in the United States National Guard for over 20 years serving during operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom while serving in Kuwait/Iraq from April 15, 2003 until March 5, 2004, He was also a Self-Employed Long Distance Truck Driver and Residential Contractor.
"Jake" as he was affectionately known will always be remembered for his laughter, big smile, patience, love for family and his wisdom. Ricky was also a jack of all trades and could fix basically anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers.
On Monday, December 14, 2020, Brother Ricky Williams, Sr. entered into eternal rest at The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. The loving and cherished memories of Ricky will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.
To celebrate his life, mourn his departure and cherish fond memories are: (2) devoted sons: Kendall Odom (Alaa) and Ricky Williams, Jr.; (2) loving daughters: Janell Jones (Stephen) and Jasmine Williams; (7) wonderful grandchildren: Payton Jones, Preston Jones, Paxton Jones, Amira Odom, Nyra Odom, Ava Jones and Averie Jones; (10) sisters: Alta Wright, Betty Parker (Authur), Shirley Jones (Eric), Elaine M. Smith (Reginald), Ethel M. Washington, Carrie James, Dorothy Abney (David), Kelia Guinyard (Ronald), Patricia Bell (Marion) and Denise Jones; (2) adopted sisters: Vivian Staley and Donyle Odom; (6) brothers: Isaac Williams, Sr. (Linda), Charles E. Williams, James E. Mack, Sr. (Louvier), James Williams, Robert Gatson and Carmichael Williams; a devoted friend and companion: Teressa Corbitt-Williams; special nephew: Maurice Williams, Sr. (Kenyanna); and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and sorrowing friends that will miss him dearly.
