She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred H. Tobin, Jr. and Hattie Holman Tobin; and her sister Rivana Sanders Davis. She is survived by: her children, Robin R. Alston-Santiago (Miguel), Maria Alston-Taylor and Roger Alfred Alston; her grandchildren, Cassandra Santiago-Minervini (John), Mia S. Alston, Katrina Santiago (Miayah) and Lea Alston; her great grandchildren, Elias Carter White and Jace Efrain Wolf; her siblings, Walter, Bernice Tobin, Darnell, Dawn Alston and Maude Galloway; and her cousin Juliette White-Byrd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (3076 Dexter St, Blackville, SC 29817). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. During the COVID pandemic, Vivian had a growing concern about community members who lacked food security.
