With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward James Hammarth of Bluffton, South Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2026 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Hammarth and Pauline Fisher Hammarth; his wife Terese Stemmler Hammarth; and his brothers, Robert Hammarth (Chuck) and George Hammarth.
He is survived by: his children, Ward Hammarth, Chrissie Hammarth Poore and Susan Hammarth Roberts; his grandchildren, Christopher Poore, Erin Poore Bitz, Matthew Hammarth, Jared Hammarth, Caitlin Hammarth Montejo, Austin Roberts and Beau Roberts; his great grandchildren, Cashton Bitz, Skylar Bitz, Peyton Hammarth, Sophia Hammarth, Tviska Roberts and Freya Roberts; and his sister-in-law Catherine Frain.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a your local Hospice or to St Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton South Carolina.
