She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernestine Simmons, and James Simmons, Sr. (Richard Grant, Sr.); her daughters, Deborah Grant, Onetta Fennell and Elizabeth Grant; and her brother James Simmons, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Grant of Bluffton, SC, Beatrice Brown of Okatie, SC, Deneen Jackson (Edward) and Yolanda Terry (Edgar Mixon) of Savannah, GA; her grandchildren, Willie Simmons of Lakeland, FL and Richard Grant, Jr. (Laverne) of Savannah, GA.; her sister Sarah Washington (Thirty) of Levy, SC; her siblings-in-law, George Grant of Fayetteville, NC and Mary Simmons of Savannah, GA; and her aunt Rose Ella Bryant of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by Thirty-two grandchildren; Seventy-eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (119 Bluffton Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910).
