He is survived by: his wife Sloan Sauls Heintschel; his children, Alexis Heintschel, Jay Heintschel and Chesnee Heintschel; his grandson Maveric; his father Joseph Alan Heintschel; his stepmother Mia; his siblings, Jeffrey Heintschel (Jaki) and Erin Simmons (Jason); his parents-in-law, Perry and Audrey Sauls; and his siblings-in-law, Howard and Cindy Black. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lowcountry Community Church (801 Buckwalter Pkwy, Bluffton, SC 29910). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Live Oak Cemetery (300 Live Oak Cemetery Rd, Varnville, SC 29944).
