He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dare Howell and Martha "Tootsie" Wall Howell; and his siblings, Lesa Benitez and Chuck Howell. He is survived by: his sisters, Toyie H. Robinson, Cyndie H. Bradford of Hilton Head and Bellamy H. Murphy of Savannah; and his sister-in-law Donali Howell of Shellman Bluff. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, four great-nieces and a great-nephew.
