He was predeceased by: his grandson Baby Joseph G. Carnelli III; his brother Anthony Carnelli III; and his parents, Nancy Carnelli and Anthony Carnelli. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Joseph Carnelli Jr. (Kathleen) and Diana Norris (Russell); his grandchildren, Daelon, Isabella, Olivia, Cecelia and Julia; and his pets, Luigi and Vincenzo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sauls Funeral Home (90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910). A memorial service was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cassidy Hill Vineyard (454 Cassidy Hill Rd, Coventry, CT 06238). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
